Merging textile techniques with traditional
painting methods, my work combines the stitched line and painting
on paper to explore questions about the environment.
These stitched paper works depict real and imagined landscapes that
have been filtered through memory, referencing map theory and navigational
charts, and engage the viewer with abstract images that trigger and
encourage an emotional response.
Continuing my exploration of individual mapping and translation of
self in relation to place, these are monumental works on an intimate
scale, abstract details of personal geography.
